ImplementationI was responsible for implementing most of the game's sounds with the Wwise Unity integration. Overall, this proved to be a pleasantly challenging experience, as I had to code in various systems to keep the implementation as organized as possible. In addition, I got to work in Wwise quite a bit, adding assets and setting up events as needed. Primarily, my job was to make sure that the integration functioned seamlessly with iOS and was as organized and efficient as possible.
Unfortunately, we ended up having to de-integrate Wwise due to errors with the XCode integration that we were unable to solve in a timely manner. I instead became the Audio Engineer. I was responsible for coding in the features we were previously using Wwise for into Unity. I also became the Audio Lead around this time, taking on a greater responsibility for the overall audio direction while managing our other sound designer as well as helping to manage our composer. |
